INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups white sugar
2 cups peanut butter
3 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
5 tablespoons cocoa powder OR 2 bricks unsweetened chocolate cooking bars
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups white sugar
2 cups peanut butter
3 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
5 tablespoons cocoa powder OR 2 bricks unsweetened chocolate cooking bars
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter and chocolate bricks. Stir in milk, sugar, peanut butter and vanilla until melted. Then add the oats and continue heating for a couple of minutes. Remove from heat. Drop mixture by the spoonful onto a sheet of waxed paper, parchment paper, or aluminum foil. The mixture will start to harden as soon as it starts to cool so you'll want the paper out and ready. Allow cookies to cool until firm, approximately 20 minutes. You can place on the counter or in the fridge to cool.
